MONITORING AND SIMULATION ANALYSIS ON STEEL STRUCTURE ROOF CONSTRUCTION OF GYMNASTIC HALL IN GUANGZHOU ASIAN GAMES TOWN

The construction of gymnastic hall steel structure roof in Guangzhou Asian Games Town is difficult.To ensure construction safety,the finite element software MIDAS is adopted to simulate and analyze the installation process of the steel structure roof system,and precise instruments and equipments are used to monitor the stress and deformation of the roof structure.By comparing the calculated value by finite element software and measure data on the spot,the characteristic of stress distribution and displacement of the steel roof was found;reasons for the differences between the calculated value and measured value is found.These results provide basis for the evaluation of construction safety of gymnastic hall and significant references for the construction of similar projects in the future.
