Calcifications at Digital Breast Tomosynthesis: Imaging Features and Biopsy Techniques

Digital breast tomosynthesis increases cancer detection rates at screening but when used alone has some limitations for detection of malignant calcifications; combining full-field digital mammography or synthesized mammography with this imaging method is necessary to improve calcification conspicuity.
