ENTRE TATAMES E ACEITES: PANORAMA DA PRODUÇÃO CIENTÍFICA SOBRE O JUDÔ EM PERIÓDICOS DE LÍNGUA PORTUGUESA

The present article aims at mapping the production of Judo knowledge published in Portuguese language. Faced with this, indexed articles were listed in the following databases: Lilacs and Medline, Scielo and Capes Journal Portal. There were 51 articles distributed between 1998 and 2014. The themes that most interested the researchers were those of Training and Health, corresponding, together, to 57.14% of the total production. Despite the predominance of the mentioned axes, a diversity of research approaches was observed contemplating psychological aspects; social, cultural and historical factors; sport initiation and categories of bases; nutritional; and administration finance / public policies. It is concluded, therefore, that there is a broad scenario for an area that intends to consolidate scientifically, being necessary the growing of studies supported in the other ways to approach the sport, ascending these productions quantitatively and qualitatively.
