L'impiego della propoli nell'alimentazione del coniglio da carne

2002
The Authors refer the results of a research about the use of propolis in rabbits feeding. Added to rations at the doses of 20 and 40 p.p.m. (from 30 to 90 d of age), propolis has improved the weight gain (resp. 11% and 18%), the feed utilisation (resp. 11% and 17%), the carcass (resp. 6.5% and 12.5%), the fore quarters (resp. 8.5% and 15%), the rear quarters (resp. 7% and 10.5%), the loin (resp. 4. 7% and 11%), the meat yield (resp. 10% and 20%) and the meat digestibility (resp. 4.5% and 6.5% of digestible protein after in vitro pepsinic digestion) and the tenderness (resp. - 22% and - 40% of connective tissue after in vitro tripsinic digestion). At a lower dose (10 p.p.m.) propolis doesn't seem to have any appreciable effect. Regardless to the dose, propolis has not positive or negative effects on the health status.
