The invention discloses a spray paint waste gas purification device and a purification method therefor; the spray paint waste gas purification device comprises a body, a liquid supplementing box arranged outside the body, a circulating water pump and a draught fan, wherein the body is separated into an upper layer and a lower layer by a transverse clapboard, the upper layer and the lower layer are communicated at the left side, and a demister is arranged at the communicating part; the upper layer of the body is provided with a low temperature plasma reactor unit and an activated carbon adsorption unit, and the plasma unit is connected with a high voltage pulse power supply; the upper part of the lower layer inside the body is provided with a spray pipe network and a nozzle, wherein the circulating water pump is communicated with the spray pipe network and the liquid supplementing box; the lower layer is provided with a filler filter screen and polyhedral ball filler; the bottom of the lower layer is provided with a liquid storage box which is internally provided with alkali liquor; the purification method comprises: spray paint waste gas is purified by being sprayed with the alkali liquor and passing through the filler filter screen, water mist is removed by the demister, and then the obtained spray paint waste gas is purified by the low temperature plasma reactor and is finally purified by absorption of active carbon. Therefore, the device and the method has high purification efficiency, the discharged waste gas reaching national emission standard, low energy consumption and being safe and reliable.
