Reactive extrusion co-polymerization method for vinyl monomers

2016
The invention discloses a reactive extrusion co-polymerization method for vinyl monomers. The reactive extrusion co-polymerization method includes feeding the vinyl monomers or/and at least one type of vinyl co-monomers and initiators into first screw sections of twin-screw extruders and adding modified resin to rear screw sections of the twin-screw extruders; continuing to replenish corresponding monomers to screw sections after systems enter automatic acceleration zones, continuing to replenish initiators corresponding to the temperatures of screw barrels and micron-nano inorganic modification materials for modification into the twin-screw extruders after the initiators pass half-lives; adding antioxidants and anti-ultraviolet agents into the twin-screw extruders when polymerization is terminated and removing unpolymerized monomers and byproducts by the aid of devolatilization screw sections; controlling the temperatures of the different screw sections and carrying out reactive extrusion polymerization to obtain vinyl copolymer resin with specified molecular weights ranging from 5*10 to 6*10 . The reactive extrusion co-polymerization method has the advantages that shortcomings of existing reactive extrusion polymerization technologies for free radicals can be overcome by the aid of the reactive extrusion co-polymerization method, requirements on short reactive extrusion polymerization retention time can be completely met, functionalization and high performance are integrated with each other, and requirements on high molecular weights of polymers further can be met.
