In the new issue of “Innovations in invasive cardiology,” we present a bioactive stent OPTIMAX and a bioadaptive DynamX stent. In the “coronary interventions” section, we introduce a PiCSO system dedicated to treating anterior STEMI. Moreover, we describe “REFORM trial,” in which patients with coronary restenosis are treated with biolimus coated balloons. In innovations concerning valve interventions, we present the Hydra Aortic Valve for transcatheter implantation. In the section dedicated to diagnosis and treatment of heart failure, we present the preclinical results of the administration of mesenchymal stem cells with the neurokinin 1 receptor (NK1R + MSC) and a plan for their use in the treatment of COVID-19.
