A zero-voltage-switched three-port bidirectional converter whichisable tohandle wideinput voltage rangessuch as fuel cells andsupercapacitors ispresented inthis paper.Theconverter consists ofthree active bridges coupled byathree-winding trasformer. Asimplified duty cycle control method is introduced toextend thesoft-switching range.Thesystem ismodeled andadual-PI-loop control strategy isproposed toachieve regulated output voltage andpowerflowmanagement. Inaddition, the soft start-up procedure for theconverter isdiscussed. Simulation andexperimental results on a 1 kW prototype verify the effectiveness oftheproposed converter and its control strategy.
