Optical Absorption Edge and Luminescence of PbI2

In the reflection spectrum of PbI2, a new line which can be attributed to the n = 3 exciton state has been observed, indicating that the exciton series in PbI2 is normal and obeys a Wannier Law with a groundstate ionization energy of 30 meV.
