Calculation of Scattering Light Distribution of Large Air Bubbles by Geometrical Optics Approximation Model

Scattering properties of large air bubbles were analyzed by means of geometrical optics approximation model(GOM).The problem of multi-value scattering angle was studied,the solving methods for different trigonometric functions were analyzed,and then a simple and accurate method of traversal value based on the functions of tan(θ p2)and fsolve(.)in MATLAB was presented.The total scattering intensity distribution pattern and the phase functions in both near-field and far-field of large spherical air bubbles and water particles were given and then compared with those of Mie theory.The algorithm was verified by the consistency of the two results.
