System architecture for IoT services with broadcast content

The widespread use of smartphones and IoT devices is a chance for increasing the touch points of broadcast content. Herein, we consider providing broadcast contents in a new way using diverse devices. We propose a system architecture based on Hybridcast to communicate the metadata of broadcast content among a TV, a smartphone, and IoT devices and a common application framework for various services. We prototyped this framework on smartphone's application and we confirmed that our proposed architecture has availability for broadcast services with various types of IoT devices.
