Collaborative Disaster Preparedness: Vietnam, the United States, and Regional Experiences (Proceedings from Da Nang, Vietnam, August 1820, 2015)

2016
Abstract : Vietnam is vulnerable to disasters; the region is flood prone and often affected by weather events. Disaster preparation and response planning are important to lessen the impact of future disaster events. In August 2015, a workshop on collaborative disaster preparedness was held in Da Nang, Vietnam, where local and international actors discussed collaboration, preparedness and response mechanisms, and lessons learned from past disaster management.
