Use of an eddy-current probe to study the transient vibration of a piezoelectric transducer

1995
A method employing an eddy-current probe is proposed for determining the displacements in piezoelectric transducers working under nonsteady conditions. A description is given of experimental equipment tested in the excitation of a piezoceramic cylinder by electrical pulses. Measurements are compared with theoretical data obtained within the framework of the models of linear electroelasticity and thin shells.
