The supreme soft and hard powers that the U.S.possesses today owe to the Western world's predominance in modernization since enlightenment.However,for China modernization superiority does not mean national rejuvenation even if the country takes many ″number ones″ in this field,as modern industrial civilization at its summit height has revealed its fatal weak points of self-destruction and unsustainability.Ecological civilization is an inevitable approach for human kind,and also for the great rejuvenation of Chinese nation.Therefore China should lead in ecological civilization,by the flourish of which China will be radiant with huge hard and soft powers.
