Stable fluorinated allylic cations as intermediates in reaction of fluoroaliphatic compounds

1991
Abstract It has been found that perfluoropropene and its 1-substituted analogues react with SbF 5 to form stable allylic cations which have been observed by NMR 13 C, 19 F-spectra. According to NMR data the cations (I)(X=H,Cl,Br) exist in solution in the same configuration as their precurcors- olefines. In the case, when X=C 6 F 5 the cation (I) exist only as trans-isomer and it does not depend on the configuration of precurcor. The relative stability of the cations (I) essentially depends on substituents in the position-1. Based on NMR data the relative stability of these cations have been determined:H 6 F 5
