Analysis and Troubleshooting for a Combined Compressor at Exiting Surge State

Compressor inevitably enters unsteady states such as stall or surge when characteristics are obtained through testing.But it must exit unsteady states as soon as possible to insure the security of the test rig and compressor.This paper first describes the trouble phenomena of a centrifugal-axial flow combined compressor to exit surge state,then find out the reasons through analysis and experiment validation,finally presents methods to settle this problem.This can be referential to exclude similar faults for the future.
