Magnetic induction tomography : image reconstruction on experimental data from various applications.

2005
Magnetic induction tomography (MIT) attempts to image the conductivity distribution of an object by measuring the mutual inductance between sets of coils placed around its periphery. Image reconstruction in MIT is a nonlinear and ill-posed inverse problem. Although reconstruction techniques based on a linear approximation are fast, they are not adequate for all cases. In this paper we present the imaging results for three MIT systems, an MIT system for industrial process tomography, an MIT system with medical application design and a planar array MIT.
