The invention relates to a preparation process of metal powder for 3D printing. The preparation process comprises the steps that copper particles, nickel particles and tin particles are washed to remove surface impurities; the washed copper particles, the washed nickel particles and the washed tin particles are smashed into powder particles; the powder particles are uniformly mixed in a mixer and then ground, and alloy powder is obtained; the alloy powder and liquid are mixed, added with organic bonding agents and uniformly stirred, and metal powder slurry is prepared; and then, the slurry is made into the spherical metal powder used for 3D printing through a spray granulator. According to the preparation process, the impurities on the surface of the metal powder can be removed through the washing process, and the purity of alloy prepared subsequently is improved; the mechanical activity of the powder can be improved through the mixing and grinding modes, and a good foundation is provided for tight combination of the alloy; and the metal powder which is small and uniform in particle size and is used for 3D printing can be prepared through the spray granulator.
