Detection of Chlorophyll Content of Winter Wheat Based on Spectral Analysis Technology

2009
The non-destructive detection of winter wheat chlorophyll content is conducted based on the spectral analysis. After analyzing the canopy spectral reflectance of winter wheat in up stage and elongation stage, we do research on the correlations between ratio index and chlorophyll content, and between normalized index and chlorophyll content, and find that spectral reflectance in visible light region was lower than near-infrared region; and with the growing of wheat, the spectral curve variation tendency of visible region and near infrared region is different; and ratio index R(870,660) and normalized index ND(660,460) have the highest correlation with chlorophyll content, whose R2 are 0.46 and 0.465, respectively. By using PLSA model to predict unknown samples of chlorophyll, the obtained maximum correlation coefficient is 0.6399 between the predictive value and the true value. All these demonstrate that detection of chlorophyll content of winter wheat using spectrum analysis is feasible.
