The Method of Ground Moving Target Tracking for Battlefield Surveillance Radar

Airborne battlefield surveillance radar system is an important equipment supporting advances of information in modern warfare.The features of ground moving targets tracking(GMTT) and multiple hypotheses tracking(MHT) approach,which has been practically used in GMTT application of battlefield surveillance radar are summarized.A new MHT-GMTT algorithm is proposed that utilize road-net information effectively.The algorithm has been designed to decrease the number of track branches in MHT by using measurement preprocessing with map constraint information,and this will improve computational efficiency and tracking performance of MHT.The simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed method.
