Identification and frequency of a novel HLA‐A allele, A*110104

In this study, we identified a novel HLA-A allele A*110104, which was found in a Chinese family. The full-length complementary DNA cloning of HLA-A locus and subsequently sequence-based typing showed that A*110104 was identical to A*110101 except for a nucleotide substitution of CAC to CAT at codon 93 without an amino acid replacement. The frequency of A*110104 in Chinese population (n = 1200) were approximately 0.083%.
