Contribution to the study of composite spectra – IX. Spectroscopic orbital elements of 10 systems★

2003
We present the results of a radial-velocity study of 10 spectroscopic binaries with composite spectra that were observed at Observatoire de Haute-Provence with the CORAVEL instrument. Those systems, including a cool, evolved, primary and a hot secondary of type B or A, were found to be spectroscopic binaries. We computed their orbital elements for the first time. For three systems, the large mass function implies i ∼ 90°, with the possibility of eclipses. Mean angular separations are very small (a ≤ 0.010 arcsec), which makes those systems resolvable only with multi-pupil large interferometers.
