TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE AND THE FREIGHT COMMUNITY

The principles presented here lead to the conclusion that those public agencies responsible for planning and implemented changes in the metropolitan transportation system should involve the private-sector firms that use the systems in the change process. More efficient and effective use of all resources devoted to transportation, public and private, will result.
