Prevention and curative effects of Xuebijing injection in the acute pancreatitis-associated kidney injury

Objective To study the prevention and curative effects of Xuebijing in acute pancreatitis-associated kidney injury(APAKI).Methods 120 patients with severe acute pancreatitis were divided into two groups:control group and therapeutic group.56 patients in control group were treated with the conventional treatment,while 64 patients in therapeutic group were treated with the conventional treatment and Xuebijing injection,100mL q8h,intravenous drip.The patients' clinical symptoms,signs and the levels of serum creatinine(Cr),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),interleukin-6(IL-6),tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-α)in serum were analyzed to compare the differences in the incidence of injury and curative effect of kidney injury between both groups.Results The incidences of APAKI within 24 hours and 24~72 hours after the onset of severe acute pancreatitis were 22% and 33% in therapeutic group,but those in control group were 44% and 50%.There was significant difference between both groups(P0.05).Compared with control group,the degree of kidney injury lessened significantly in therapeutic group(P0.05).Conclusion Xuebijing can reduce the occurrence of APAKI and accelerate the recovery of APAKI.
