Surveillance on measles in Caoxian County 2000～2002

Objective To evaluate the present status of measles surveillance,improve the surveillance system and realize the measles control program. ELISA was adopted to survey the IgM-antibody in the blood of suspected measles and rubella patients. Epidemiological analysis was made on the data of legal report system of infectious diseases and measles report system. The measles report system had a better sensibility on epidemic situation report than the legal report system of infectious disease. The data of measles report system indicated that measles invasion had an obvious seasonal character,the invasion peak was from April to May;the invasion age was mainly under 15 years old. [Conclusion] Management on measles report system should be strengthened in order to improve the quality of routine and intensive measles immunization and keep measles into control.
