The United Nations and Peacekeeping

Nobody needs to be reminded that life is fraught with peril. That is unlikely to change. We do not seek to create heaven on earth but to find a direction that, over ensuing generations, will offer hope for mankind. It is in that spirit that we approach the unique institution that we call the United Nations, and also the important aspect of its activities that we have come to know as Peacekeeping.
