The effect of compound viable preparation on the growth performance of weaned piglets and the content of serum lysozyme.

2010
Objective To study the effect of compound viable preparation on the growth performance of weaned piglets and the content of serum lysozyme.Method 90 weaned piglets which were binary hybrid Landrace and at weaning age of 35 days were divided into five groups;each group had 3 duplicate expertments, with six healthy piglets selected randomly for each duplicate expertment.Test group 1 was fed with basal diet plus 0.1% compound preparations(Bacillus natto,Bifidobacterium,L.reuteri).Test group 2 was fed with basal diet plus 0.1% compound preparations(Bacillus natto,Bifidobacterium,L.casei).Test group 3 was fed with basal diet plus 0.1% compound preparations(Bacillus natto,Bifidobacterium,L.acidophilus).Test group 4 was fed with basal diet plus 0.1% compound preparations(Bacillus natto,Bifidobacterium,L.reuteri,L.casei,L.acidophilus).And the Control group was fed with basal diet. The number of viable probiotics in compound preparations was 109CFU/g.After 30 days, the effect of compound viable probiotics preparation on the growth performance of weaned piglets and the content of serum lysozyme were observed.Result The daily weight gain, feed efficiency and serum lysozyme of the test group 1 and 2 were significantly higher than those of the control group(P0.05);while the diarrhea rates of all the experiment groups were significantly lower than that of the control group(P0.05).Conclusion Adding compound viable probiotics preparation into the daily diets of piglets can improve the daily weight and forage efficiency of weaning piglets, reduce the incidence of diarrhea, increase the content of serum lysozyme, and improve the immune function of piglets, thus increase the economic revenue.
