Study of the target effect of mannose modified liposomes on diabetic rat kidney based on GLUT

Abstract Our research designed a novel drug carrier for targeting diabetic nephropathy of rats. Namely Mannose-PEG-DSPE modified liposomes. This new drug carrier not only has high drug loading ratio, but also can effectively target diabetic nephropathy. Mannose improves the drug water-solubility, and can be identified by the high expression GLUT in the kidney to achieve targeted drug delivery.
