Synthesis and structure of a new layered zinc phosphate [C 6 N 2 H 16 ] 3.5 [Zn 14 (PO 4 ) 7 (HPO 4 ) 7 ] in the presence of trans-1,4-diaminocyclohexane

Abstract A novel two-dimensional layered zinc phosphate [C 6 N 2 H 16 ] 3.5 [Zn 14 (PO 4 ) 7 (HPO 4 ) 7 ], I , has been synthesized hydrothermally using trans -1,4-diaminocyclohexane( trans -1,4-DACH) as the structure-directing agent. The structure of I comprises a network of ZnO 4 , PO 4 , and PO 3 (OH) tetrahedral forming one-dimensional tubes. The tubes, in turn, are linked via oxygen atoms forming macroanionic inorganic layers.
