Glass ceramic composite materials with uniform continuous reinforcing fiber distribution and a unit for their production

The production conditions and structure for composite materials based on glass ceramic reinforced with electrically conducting fibers have been examined. A unit is described for applying coatings on continuously moving fiber using electrophoresis. It is shown that it is practical to vary the volume relationship between the matrix and the fiber over wide ranges.
