Cuantificación de la resistencia mecánica de morteros de cemento al añadir cenizas de cascara de arroz ricas en nanopartículas de sílice

2019
Rice husk ash formed by amorphous silica nanoparticles was obtained from rice husk using a controlled thermal decomposition (Conglomerates with an average diameter of 60 nm). The rice husk and the rice husk ash were used in the preparation of cement mortars. The morphology and structure of the rice husk and the rice husk ash, as well as the influence of those components on the mechanical properties of the concrete mortars, were studied. In the analysis, special attention is paid to parameters such as density of the concrete mortar and its resistance to compression. The studies were carried out by scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis, and a mechanical properties tests machine (INSTRON), were used for mechanical tests.
