A revision of Cylinula and two new species of Cylindropsyllus (Copepoda, Harpacticoida, Cylindropsyllidae)

Males of two new species of Cylindropsyllus Brady, 1880 (Cylindropsyllidae) are described. Cylindropsyllus ibericus sp. n. is based on a single specimen from Portugal previously misidentified as C. laevis Brady, 1880; C. govaerei sp. n. is reported from Corsican shell-gravel. The boreo-mediterranean distribution of C. laevis is confirmed and a key to the species of Cylindropsyllus is presented. Redescriptions are provided for the two species of Cylinula Coull, 197 1, the type species C. proxima Coull, 1971 and C. arganoi Cottarelli and Venanzetti, 1989. The relationships of Cylindropsyllus, Cylinula and Evansula Sars, 1909 are briefly discussed.
