O universo consensual do cuidador-familiar e sua ancoragem dentro do cuidado: um estudo de representações sociais

Objective: To analyze the representations of relatives of patients in palliative care. Methods: This is a descriptive qualitative research, which aimed to know the representations of relatives of patients in palliative care, where this research was based on the Theory of Social Representations created by Serge Moscovici. Results: The figure of death is characterized as a final physiological stage, that is, a technically ordered and natural process of nature, in a general way, is the only certainty we have in life, where death can be seen as an incomprehensible mystery, as an unacceptable absurdity or can be treated as a taboo or a social representation of one’s own personal universe. Conclusion: Furthering the result, we note that although this patient does not have, but can be cured through conventional therapies, he or she needs special care or palliative care
