Radar returns from the turbulent troposphere at 150 MHz

The apparatus, methods, and results of the first experimental studies of energy and spectral characteristics of radar returns from inhomogeneities of the refractive index obtained in horizontal and vertical sounding of the atmosphere are reported. The Doppler-sensed wind velocity and direction data with the aerial probing data were found to correspond.
