Study on Drying Characteristics and Drying Technology for Koompassia Malaccensis Floorings Board

The drying characteristics of 22 mm thick koompassia malaccensis board were obtained through a series of tests with 100℃.A dryings technology and the behavior of the wood on drying process were studied.The results showed that the board could be dried from initial moisture content of 45.4% to final average moisture content of 10.3% in 7 days without obvious drying defect such as split,bow,crook,twist and so on.The results also showed that the drying schedule for 22 mm thick koompassia malaccensis flooring board offered by this study was reasonable and suitable.
