Methods of Synthesis of Arylphosphonic and Arylphosphonothioic Acids and Their Derivatives

1986
A systematic account is given of data on the synthesis of arylphosphonic and arylphosphonothioic acids and their derivatives by the addition of oxygen or sulphur to arylphosphonous acids, their esters, amides, and dihalides, by treating phosphoryl chloride, dialkyl phosphorochloridates, and phosphorodiamidic chlorides with aryl-substituted organometallic compounds, by the reaction of benzene and its derivatives containing various substituents in the ring with phosphorus pentoxide, phosphorus sulphide halides, phosphorus sulphides, and esters of phosphorous and phosphorothious acids, and by other less familiar methods. The methods of synthesis of aryldihalogenophosphines, which are important intermediates in the synthesis of arylphosphonic acids and their derivatives, are described. The bibliography includes 355 references.
