A case of pericytic neoplasm in the shoulder with a novel DERA-GLI1 gene fusion.
2020
In 2004, ACTB(beta-actin gene)-GLI1(glioma-associated oncogene homologue 1) fusion was first described by Dahlen and colleagues in a so-called " pericytoma with t(7;12) translocation", a rare but distinctive soft tissue neoplasm associated with a benign clinical course and purported pericytic differentiation based on its smooth muscle actin (SMA)-positive/S100-negative immunophenotype and ultrastructural characteristics.
