Underwater scattering and radiation

1993
Important frontiers in physical and underwater acoustics are the radiation and scattering of sound by structures of nonstandard shape and whose dimensions are neither small or large compared with the waavelengths of the acoustic fields. This volume presents an in-depth discussion starting from the basic fundamentals of the most promising computational and theoretical approaches that are currently under active research to advance these frontiers. The book should interest not only researchers in underwater acoustics but also researchers concerned with computational acoustics, noise control, nondestructive acoustic examination, and design issues that involve the radiation of sound by complex structures.
