Orientación educativa y proceso formativo universitario: sistematización teórico-fáctica de los presupuestos para su implementación

Educational orientation is a complex, multi and interdisciplinary scientific discipline and intervention process, whose conceptions, roles and scope have been difficult to define. This article offers the results of a theoretical-factual study whose main objective is to explore the main trends in the conceptualization and implementation of educational guidance in the Cuban and Latin American university context, fundamentally the former and with emphasis on non-educational training. At the theoretical level, the historical-logical method, analysis-synthesis, induction-deduction and systemic structural-functional modeling were used; at the empirical level, documentary analysis and triangulation of methods, techniques and sources of information were used as methodological resources. The main results are aimed at the analysis of models and roles, their comparison in non-teaching and teaching careers according to the concrete conditions and the non-existence of the role of professional educational advisor, as well as a systematization of the main ideas that emerge from the triangulation of sources for the improvement of the discipline and its professional practice.
