HIGH-PERFORMANCE LIQUID CHROMATOGRAPHIC ENANTIOSEPARATION OF IMINO ACIDS ON A CHIRAL LIGAND EXCHANGE COLUMN

2005
Application of a chiral ligand exchange column (CLC) for the direct high-performance liquid chromatographic separation of unusual α-substituted secondary amino acids using a Dpenicillamine-Cu(II) complex as the chiral selector is reported. The investigated amino acids involved unusual Pro analogs, pipecolic acid, piperazine carboxylic acid, morpholine and thiomorpholine carboxylic acid analogs. Chromatographic results are given as the retention, separation and resolution factors.
