Dispersion of Carbon Nanotubes Encapsulated by Nickel Particles in Epoxy Resin by SEM-EDS

Using the carbon nanotube-encapsulated by nickel particles synthesized by catalytic vapor decomposition method as fillers,carbon nanotube/epoxy composites were prepared by an ultrasonic assisted by solution-evaporation method.The microstructure of tensile-fracture section of the carbon nanotube/epoxy composites was observed by scanning electron microscope,the dispersion status of carbon nanotube in epoxy resin was investigated by X-ray spectrometer,and the reinforcing mechanism of carbon nanotubes on epoxy resin was discussed as well.
