Structure of the reaction product between sodium perchlorate and (2S,3S)=1,1':4,1'-di(4,7,10,13-tetraoxa-1-azacyclopentadecanyl)-butadiol-2,3

1993
X-ray structural analysis is performed to determine the crystal structure of the reaction product between sodium perchlorate and (2S,3S) = 1,1':4,1'-di(4,7,10,13-tetraoxa-1-azacyclopentadecanyl)-butadiol-2,3 (L), a=10.275(3), b=8.830(4), c=19.953(7) A, γ=95.84(3)°, space group P2 1 , ρ(calc) = 1.415 g/cm 3 at Z=2 and the composition is C 26 H 48 Cl 2 N 2 O 18 Na 2 . In the structure, a double-cored cation (Na 2 L) is associated by means of H-bonds with one of the ClO 4 − anions. The second anion occupies a void in the packing of the large double-cored cations. The fact of the identical configuration of two chiral centers in L is confirmed. The sodium coordinates five heteroatoms of the 15-member cycle and the oxygen atom of the hydroxyl group of the connecting chain. In L, the cycles have the same triangular conformation
