How to cross the cellular membrane

2007
In order to introduce molecules into cells, different useful procedures have been developed in molecular and cellular biology studies. Among them we have: permeabilization, microinjection, cellular transfection, and transduction methods. The selection of the best method depends on the experiment final purpose and the equipment available. In this review we approach the laboratory methods used to introduce molecules into cells with a special emphasis in their advantages and disadvantages.
