The present work was done with trimethylammonium (TMA) diphenylhexatriene (DPH) as the fluorescent probe and revealed that plasma membrane fluidity was altered in resting blood leukocytes from allergic patients. The modulation of membrane fluidity in response to leukotriene B 4 or platelet-activating factor (PAF acether) was also investigated
