Modeling and simulation of cargo containers

Abstract A space frame model for the analysis and design of cargo containers used in marine, rail and road transportation is proposed. The analysis of the model is based on the stiffness method. Some loading conditions are simulated in accordance with International Standards Organization (ISO) requirements. The stresses and deflections obtained from the model are compared with experimental results.
