Research on the Ink Absorption Performance of Coating on Foamed Plastic Surface

2021
In order to study the different proportion of pigments, different varieties and dosage of adhesives on the performance of ink absorption coating, improve the quality of the plastic foam surface painting. Silicon dioxide and calcium carbonate were used as pigments, PVA and soluble starch were used as adhesives, and rigid polyurethane foam was used as coating objects. Scraper was used for surface coating, UV printer was used for output, and various properties of coating were tested. The results showed that: When the ratio of PVA to pigment was 20%, and the ratio of starch to pigment was 25%, the whiteness, glossiness and wettability of the coating were the best, reflecting the rich color range and gradation. With the increase of the amount of silica, the viscosity of the coating increases and the pH decreased. Contact Angle, whiteness and glossiness increased first, then decreased. When the amount of silica was 80%, the contact Angle, whiteness and glossiness reached the maximum value, which were 7.95, 91.8% and 6.8% respectively. The color density of ink-jet printing image was the highest, and the image definition was the highest.
