Performance Analysis of an 18d Multi-Body Coaxial Helicopter

The paper expatiates on a performance (free flight trim) analysis of an 18d (d: degree of freedom) Multi-Body Coaxial Helicopter, consisting of several ideal linked rigid bodies, for different stationary and quasi-stationary flight co nditions, including hover-, horizontal- and climb-flights. The Coaxial Helicopter trim algorith m is based on a common trim code for Single-Body aircrafts, consisting of a kernel trimm er and state condition dependent templates using kinematic constraints, with an add- on for parallel trimming the fuselage and rotor to guarantee robust free flight trim analysis .
