The sound of the past

History, for young children, starts at home. Pre-school children are still developing a sense of time, trying to untangle yesterday from last week or last year. The important thing for them to realise is that things change as time goes by and that they are taking part in that change. Things have not always been as they are today and they will not always stay the same.
