The invention provides a push rod movement and cam profile forming demonstration device based on a differential gear train. The device comprises a front plate, a rear plate, a base, a bottom plate and a main shaft. The function of obtaining a push rod movement rule curve through forward rotation of a cam and the function of obtaining a cam profile through inverse rotation of the cam can be integrated through connection and movement relations among the front plate, the rear plate, the base, the bottom plate and the main shaft. The principle of drawing the cam profile in a reverse method is verified, and switching between horizontal moving of a push rod and swing of the push rod can be achieved easily. In the swing process of the push rod, a sector gear is meshed with a rack, so that coordinates of angular displacement are obtained. According to the push rod movement and cam profile forming demonstration device based on the differential gear train, complex relative movements among mechanisms can be achieved through a simple mechanical structure, and the device has the advantages of being flexible, light, convenient to use, easy to carry and operate and capable of facilitating demonstration.
