"The Russian innovation development strategy for the period up to 2020" pays attention to pedagogical education. There is a great need for further development of pedagogical universities and foundation of special educational holdings, including Basic centers for pedagogical education, schools, structures of technical and vocational education and training. Some educational innovations are observed: the improvement of pedagogical science studies, creating of engineering-pedagogical departments, new forms of pedagogical education informatization, refresher training, lifelong learning.
